Ron Wassenaar Builder, Inc. continues the fine tradition passed on from his Father. Our team consists of some of the finest craftsman in the West Michigan area to produce the highest quality of home or remodel available. Our homes have been featured in the Grand Rapids Edition of Cosmopolitan Home magazine.

We specialize in custom homes and remodels in Western Michigan, including the shorelines of Lake Michigan. Ron Wassenaar Builder, Inc. generally uses the same sub-contractors for each project. Our working relationship with our sub-contractors dates back 2 to 3 generations. The use of the same sub-contractors assures consistent quality and teamwork on the jobsite.

We provide project supervision, communication between the client and sub-contractors, and scheduling for a timely project. We believe communication is the key to a successful project and work closely with architects, designers, landscapers and other service professionals.

Our History

Ron Wassenaar Builder was established in 1988 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. However, its roots date back two generations when Ron’s Grandfather, Gerrit, founded G.H. Wassenaar & Sons. While growing up, Ron’s Dad, Norm, continued the Wassenaar building tradition. Ron partnered with him back in the late 1970’s forming Norm Wassenaar & Son. Norm and Ron worked side-by-side for the next several years passing on the traditions of fine home building to Ron. When Norm retired in 1988, Ron renamed the family business to Ron Wassenaar Builder, Inc.
